Main Focus

Other people define the way we act and make sense of ourselves and the world around us, perhaps more than what we are used to believe. My ultimate goal is to drastically rethink the co-construction of social reality and the self, for eventually informing psychiatric, pedagogical and generally societal practice. To that end, my PhD, with Leonhard Schilbach and the Independent Max Planck Research Group for Social Neuroscience, approached human becoming in and through social interaction. Additionally, having been affiliated with the International Max Planck Research School for Translational Psychiatry, I aimed at connecting my theoretical and experimental work with practical implications for the benefit of people with certain conditions, such as autism and depression.
